Who invented star wars legos

My favorite toy and favorite movie was now one. I swore I would collect each and every set that ever came out for that line never happened as I started MichLUG in and more funds were diverted to that. I was 29 in and like every year getting my copy of the catalog. And guess what attracted my eye back then …. Next I was getting my old bricks and built what my collection of manuals gave me. First meeting with other fans that year, after I found out a fellow student was a big space collector and he had all the manuals of every space set!

I remember my 8th Birthday in , after begging my parents, I finally got my first SW set and my first system set as well, having been introduced to Lego through Bionicle , Jedi Starfighter and Vulture Droid.

And I still have it to this day! Still one of my favourite sets purely out of Nostalgia. Love the SW line, and is genuinely a huge part of my life, even as a poor student in the UK right now. Unfortunately, there was no way for me to bring them home I damaged. As soon as I got back home, I went immediately from airport to Toys R Us for the midnight toy release.

I bought every set that was out. Jens Kronvold Frederiksen: Ah , yes. With that one, we got some early concept art. Going back to talking about the snowspeeder that was cut from The Force Awakens , we thought that scene was going to be in the movie. We saw a one-to-one-scale prop of it, and then we were told the scene was cut, but the model was so cool we decided to make it anyway.

We were pretty far ahead with development, so we decided to go ahead and launch it anyway. Another one is from the same launch: , the First Order Star Destroyer. On the outside, it looks like the ship does in the movie, and then you can open it up and play on the inside of it.

So I was walking around thinking about how to solve that, and I decided I was gonna make a new, minifigure-scale Millennium Falcon , and it was quite obvious that it was gonna be very big. Jens Kronvold Frederiksen: No, it was done with bricks. And there are many reasons for that. And that happens all the way from the earliest designs until you finalize the products. The Darth Vader minifigure has changed many times over the years, but his helmet remained unchanged from The Zam Wesell minifigure from Bounty Hunter Pursuit was one of the first minifigures to have double sided face decoration. It was a challenging design, until the design team came up with the idea of creating a head with fur covering the back and front of the torso, which has been used in many minifigure designs since.

The model can move its head and walk — forward and backward.
